Turning 200

Geez was it cold this week or what? On Wednesday it was 16 degrees out! During my ride I was riding well for about an hour until my CD/mp3 player started to go into one of its epilectic skipping fits. So while I stopped to fix it, I glanced down and saw SNOW all over the front on my jersey!!! Apparently, the water vapor in my breath had turned into snow crystals in the time it took to go from my mouth and hit my chest as I rode along. I shook my jersey and THERE IT WAS... THE FIRST SNOW of the SEASON! It was also the first time on record that it snowed without a cloud in the sky. It was a historic morning.

I finally managed to ride 4 days in a row during the week! Since Tuesday I've ridden 210 miles which for some may not seem like much but for an out-of-shape desk-job worker living in the fridged northeast in November, I think it's pretty good.

My worst day was the second day of riding this week probably because I was tired or probably because it was 16 degrees. I'll probably ride over the weekend to see if I can get 300 for the week but they're predicting snow ...which essentially ends the road biking season.

The good news is that the ski areas are opening up this weekend and I got the "All East Pass" for this season! Naner-naner-naanner! Sugarloaf, Sunday River, Killington, Attitash, Mount Snow, Pico... who knows where you may see me. Still gotta get my bindings on though. Oh, and I also splurged for the Sugarloaf nordic ski pass so I'll also be kick'n it on my cross-country skate skis this winter.

Ok, I gotta go take the pizza I made out of the oven. I added a bunch of tabasco sauce on top at the last minute. Hmmm... smells kinda weird in here...
